I'm off to the HOW Conference in Boston this morning. I have cute clothes and sensible shoes, and am very excited to spend a few days with my HOW girls. Please pray that I'll feel great while I'm gone. My belly has gotten much bigger in the past few weeks, and along with that has come some shortness of breath, mild fatigue and lots of hip pain. Bridgid, one of my fellow staffers, is on crutches, so we'll be the slow, gimpy ones this week!
26 weeks
Your baby now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber), from head to heel. The nerve pathways in her ears are developing, which means her response to sounds is growing more consistent. Her lungs are developing now, too, as she continues to take small breaths of amniotic fluid — good practice for when she's born and takes that first breath of air. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

We will be praying for a safe trip and hope you will be comfortable while there. I've never been to Boston. You will have to tell me what it's like there.
I love Boston!
Cute clothes, sensible shoes, and an adorable mama to be. Take rests when you can, prop that hip up with a pillow.
Enjoy your time with the HOW Gang.
