introducing maddox parker
Matt and Amanda had a healthy baby boy yesterday afternoon! They named him Maddox Parker, and he rang in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces and 21 inches. Amanda (my new hero) had him naturally and is doing fine. We're planning to visit them at the hospital tonight, assuming they don't get discharged sooner than that. We were going to go visit them last night, but we were busy with our own doctor's appointment. All is well with baby Whitman and we'll have another appointment in 4 weeks.

Please pass our congratulations on to Matt and Amanda. That's a big baby. Bigger than either of mine were. I am sending a gift to you in the mail for them. Would you please take it to them when you visit?? Thanks!

Just mailed the gift today and should be there in two days. Tell them there is one catch--I get to hold him when I get down there again!!
